Are you all familiar with him?

He's an Austrian artist & visionary architect who devoted a good part of his career to espousing rooftop trees & gardens.

Really good stuff - I hope his ideas become taken a lot more seriously in the international desgin community than they seem to have been thus far.

  • my reply comes three years later. wowzah, what a visionary. any poet / artist who declares his manifesto naked (granted, this was the 60's) and then goes on to design fresh people oriented, earth respectful buildings and centers is definitely worth his salt. he definitely seemed ahead of his time. in fact, i'm surprised more people don't know about him, his philosphies, art and design seems so timely.
